Association of Volunteer Emergency Response Teams (AVERT) is dedicated to assisting local Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) along with their locale Emergency Mangers prepare the local neighborhoods for disasters.
Some of these CERT teams are located at schools, businesses and neighborhoods. AVERT, a nonprofit IRS Section 501(c)(3) organization, is seeking financial contributions from individuals, charitable foundations and corporations interested in assisting volunteer responders.
Money and usable supplies, which are provided to AVERT, will be allocated to volunteer organizations and teams. The money will be used for new and continue training of volunteers and buying the much needed neighborhood storage containers, medical and rescue supplies.
